U4L2: Past continuous tense, Formação, Negative form, Question form

Os tempos continuous, como o nome sugere, dão idéia de movimentação, de continuidade de ação. Todos os tempos continuous são sempre compostos tendo o to be coma auxiliar, mais o verbo principal com a terminação ing.

Formação

            auxiliar           +         verbo principal

            to be (past tense)                  present participle

I was shouting

Eu estava/estive gritando

You were shouting

Tu estavas/estiveste gritando

He/she/it was shouting

Ele/ela estava/esteve gritando

We were shouting

Nós estávamos/estivemos gritando

They were shouting

Eles estavam/estiveram gritando

Negative form
